We Test Before We Ship
Nothing leaves the plant on a supplier certificate alone. Peel, tensile and thickness are measured here, on our instruments, against the batch you are buying.
Founded in Morbi in 2015. Coating, slitting, label converting and testing under one roof, so the specification you approve is the specification you keep receiving.
Petra Adhesive started in 2015 doing what most small tape businesses in this region do: buying jumbo rolls from someone else and slitting them to size. It worked until it did not. When a supplier changed their adhesive without telling us, our customers felt it before we did, and we had no answer beyond passing on an apology.
That is why we brought coating in-house in 2017. Owning the coating step means the adhesive formulation is a variable we can adjust for a customer rather than a constraint we have to explain. Label converting followed in 2019, and our own testing laboratory in 2021, so batches are now released against measurements we take ourselves rather than certificates someone else signed.
Operations begin in Morbi with a single slitting line, converting bought-in jumbo rolls for local packaging customers.
Bringing adhesive coating in-house ends our dependence on third-party jumbo stock and puts batch consistency under our own control.
Die-cutting and label converting join the plant, letting customers source sealing tape and shipping labels from one supplier.
Peel, tensile, elongation and holding-power testing moves on site, so batches are released against measured data rather than supplier declarations.
Water-based acrylic becomes the default chemistry across the BOPP range, sharply reducing solvent handling at the plant.
Coating width extends to 1300 mm, opening bulk jumbo roll supply to converting and slitting units across western India.
Nothing leaves the plant on a supplier certificate alone. Peel, tensile and thickness are measured here, on our instruments, against the batch you are buying.
Because we coat rather than buy and re-slit, the adhesive formulation is a variable we can change for you instead of a constraint we have to work around.
Specification questions go to the people who run the line, not to a sales desk that forwards them. Most are answered the same working day.
We would rather send trial rolls and lose a month than win an order that fails on your line. Sampling is offered on every enquiry.
Morbi sits at the centre of Gujarat's ceramics, packaging and engineering belt, which puts us within a day's road freight of a large part of our customer base and close to the film and core suppliers we depend on. For customers further out, we dispatch nationally and handle export documentation in-house.
Get DirectionsThe enquiries we most enjoy are the awkward ones a seal that lifts, a label that fades, a roll that will not run. Describe the failure and we will tell you what we would change.
